SiteSurvey
This utility scans a site to a pre-specified depth (number of 'clicks') collecting information on every page encountered.
The data is processed to provide a comprehensive report on the site.
Such characteristics as
page size and download times,
the effect of browser caching,
all errors (including the pages they occur on) are identified,
as are outside sites references (and errors again detected),
the age characteristics of the content (static content only) etc. etc.
is reported.
An actual report based on this site can be viewed here.
SiteMonitor
This system allows remote monitoring of networked systems,
recording results for off-line analysis. Event triggers can be
created to alert staff of issues that are detected.
Triggers can be based on the time to complete an operation, the
data returned etc.
Test suites can be configured to generate triggers when service or availability falls below specified threshold, including the ability to handle load-balanced configurations with inherent
redundancy.
Alarms are distributed via an escalation matrix, for example alerting operations staff immediately while notifying
management staff only if a problem remains un-resolved for 15 minutes.
Likewise, backup staff can be notified, and alerts routed to
off-hours support based on time and day.
SiteArchiver
This system allows a site to be copied and stored
for archival or off-line demonstration purposes.
This allows the creation of individual page archives , or
the creation of 'demonstration walkthroughs' of dynamic sites for
sales and presentation purposes.
An example can be seen here.
